Hugh O. Evans (1944-2016)

Hugh Evans was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He served as a platoon leader in the United States Army in Vietnam, earning three purple hearts, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star, and Silver Star. When he returned to civilian life, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, and received his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1974. He co-founded Evans, Craven, & Lackie in 1978. While in active practice, Mr. Evans tried numerous cases in state and federal courts involving the defense of product manufacturers, professionals, insurance companies and their insured. He had extensive experience in condemnation actions. In his final years, Mr. Evans provided invaluable mentoring and advice to lawyers in the firm. He will be deeply missed.
