PRACTICE AREA EMPHASIS
Mr. Floyd is the managing partner of Evans, Craven, & Lackie. He was born and raised in Spokane. He attended high school at Gonzaga Preparatory School and then spent the next four years down in Pullman attending Washington State University. After graduating from WSU in 1990, Mr. Floyd enrolled at Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating in 1993. He has been with Evans, Craven & Lackie since March of 2000, and has been a shareholder with the firm since October of 2004. Mr. Floyd is married to his wife Stacie, and they have three boys that keep him very active and busy when he is not working.
Mr. Floyd's practice primarily focuses on defense of workers' compensation claims, representing self-insured and state-funded employers before the Department of Labor and Industries and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. He has been handling workers' compensation claims for the past 19 years, and represents a number of self-insured employers in the state of Washington, to include Avista Corp., Kaiser Aluminum, Trans-System, Inc., Oldcastle, Inc., and United States Bakery. He also provides advice to employers on other labor and employment related issues such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, The Family Medical Leave Act, The Washington Law Against Discrimination, The Fair Labor Standards Act and the Washington Minimum Wage Law. Mr. Floyd is licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho.
