PRACTICE AREA EMPHASIS
Since 1981, Mr. Kane has specialized in defending workers’ compensation cases. Prior to joining Evans, Craven & Lackie in 1986, he served for five years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington, representing the Department of Labor and Industries. Mr. Kane handles a very high volume of industrial insurance defense litigation before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, as well as before the various Superior and Appellate Courts throughout Washington. Mr. Kane’s current practice consists of representing employers in workers’ compensation claims, and also advises his clients concerning workers’ compensation issues, and is a member of the Washington Self Insurers Association. He is a frequent speaker at seminars addressing discrimination and accommodation issues.
